To promote and encourage professionalism and a strong code of ethical conduct among personal property appraisers.

 The A.A.S.L. (Appraisers Association of Saint Louis) is a member-driven society, formed to support our member needs and serve the public by producing highly qualified and ethical appraisers who are recognized authorities in professional personal property appraising. Our members include some of the most respected independent appraisers, consultants, estate liquidators, auctioneers, dealers and restoration professionals in the Saint Louis area.

The A.A.S.L. accomplishes these goals by:

1. Knowledge and professional development for personal property appraisers and appraisal management companies.

2. Establishing standards of professional practice and a Code of Ethics for the provider of online appraisal reports.

3.  Adopting the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) promulgated by The Appraisal Foundation of Washington, DC as a standard for those offering online appraisals, and by participating with The Appraisal Foundation and its Boards and Advisory Councils to further the profession.

4. Encourage ongoing education and refresher courses to maintain high quality appraisals and the use of up to date information.
